I have been trying to do this for 8 months. I have emailed the webmaster, no reply. I did find some place on this board once that stated that the only way to change the address was to register a new account, then you would be sent a new password. I have tried this several times. I never got a new password.

The PTO on mine does the same thing. This is what the brake on the pto is for.

I have a JD 4400 hydro. My experence seems to be the opposite of the others. In my area NH & Kubota are higher priced than JD. My dealer has been great. They have picked up & delivered my tractor for all repairs at no charge. I have never had to fight to get something covered under warranty. I do not understand the statement that JD is less of a tractor than the others. The things that sold me on JD over the others were the following. 1)turning brakes that could be used on a hydro 2)liked 2 hydro pedals better than 1 3)loader was easer to remove & install 4) Backhoe was much easer to install & remove.

Amsoil has a very good synthetic diesel motor oil. I use it in my 2 diesel trucks. I will be putting it in my JD 4400 at the next oil change, at 200 hours. 15W-40 Synthetic Heavy Duty Diesel & Marine Motor Oil. They also have Synthetic Hydraulic fluids.

Look under the Dealers section, under Indiana dealers, for this dealer. Lowe's Tractor & Equipment, Inc. It has been a long time since I have been there. They used to have a lot of old compact tractors & parts.

John do you hear a click each time you try to engage the clutch, even when it does not work. If it clicks each time, then it may just need to be adjusted. It has been several years since I owned a tractor with this kind of clutch. As I remember you need a feeler gauge to set the gap between the clutch plates. The Airens dealer should have tis spec. Hope this helps.

Mike not sure what you mean that your deck clogs after mowing. I have a 60" on my 425. The only time I have trouble with it pluging is when the grass is tall & when it is wet. I did unbolt the deflector sheild so I can raise it when in those conditions. It helps alot.

Peter are you shutting off the engine before you disconnect the lines. It sounds like you have pressure in the lines or a damaged connector.

I also had trouble getting the hoe raised high enough the last time to get the pins in. I just pulled the 3pt lever back till it hit the stop & it raised high enough. I could hear the relief valve open so I pushed the handle foward enough to close it.

I got my tractor & backhoe back from the dealer today. They covered the cylinder under warranty. I had to try it out tonight, so I dug stumps for 2 hours tonight. I worked it hard, I wanted to be sure it did not happen again. Not a single problem and I think it dug better tonight than it did the night it bent. Thanks for the help.

Jim what is causing it to wear off. The one on my 430 loader has been painted since I bought it in December of 1999. The paint still looks fine.

I have a Befco chipper shredder.It is just like the BM6 800 except mine has a shredder unit mounted on the back. They no longer offer the shredder. I bought it last spring. It was used but like new. I have been very happy with it. I use it on a John Deere 4400. I have seen the Danuser units at shows & they look like nice units also.
